Mollie Makes & more.....

Yarn is my first love no doubt it is an uncontrollable addiction but it's certainly not the only one.

Magazines, I just love them, wonderful colour, inspirational people and new ideas to get my creativity flowing.

The most recent addition to the crafting world is Mollie Makes which has caused a real stir.  Page after page crafty goodness it certainly sent me in a spiral of dizziness.  Then came the trauma of getting hold of a copy, not a chance!   They were like hot cakes disappearing before my very eyes.

Drastic action need to be taken - STOCK THEM IN JUMBLE JELLY! 

So now Mollie Makes sits alongside Interweave Knits, Sew Hip, Simply Knitting and Inside Crochet all neatly arranged on the counter!

No more driving from town to town to find a copy just pick it up while you're in for your weekly squeeze!

Wool Glorious Wool

I hope you've all had a fab summer regardless of the weather!  It's been hectic here at JJ, what with unruly knitted teddies demanding cake at their tea party and looking at yummy things to stock for the Autumn/Winter  we have bear-ly coped under the strain!!

One amazing wool that we are now stocking is the divine Woolcake.  It's hard not to love natural wool from just over the border in Somerset, not messed with just spun into perfect 100g hanks ready to squeeze.  They come in chunky and aran weights in a colour range from a natural cream all the way through to a rich brown, just delicious.

We have the Woolcake patterns in stock and even a selection of ready made garments including these fab glamping socks - piece of cake!  (sorry I will stop now)

The new workshop dates have just gone onto our website including a Christmas workshop schedule, there should be something there to suit everyone!  Do keep checking back as there will be Kids Halloween workshops during the October half term where we will be busy with "Cloaks & Totes" - a perfectly spooky cloak or an eerie Trick or Treat bag and I know there will be more events happening over the next few months.

So many more things to tell you, this is just a little taster while you have your cuppa!
